Alfredo Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 ½ cups  milk
  • ½ cup cream
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese (finely ground)
  • Salt
  • White pepper

In a medium saucepan over medium heat the butter and flour together while whisking. When you have a soft white paste (or blond roux) add the milk and cream. Continue to heat until the sauce starts to thicken (about 10 minutes). Remove from the heat, whisk in the cheese and season with salt and white pepper.

Easy to do and taste great. I’ve added some Chipotle pepper to give it some kick. I then Garnish with some Scallions and Grated cheese over my favorite Pasta.

Folks give it a try, instead of the store bought, You’ll be glad you did.

This is a great starter dish to get your pan skills going and give you Confidence.
